What we offer
What we offer
- Specialist Services- This service provides dental care for children who would benefit from behavioural techniques, sedation, or general anaesthetic to have their dental treatment carried out. We work closely with local General Dentists who will continue to provide dental care once the treatment is complete. Children with additional or complex needs will be reviewed and cared for within this service long term. We will work to ensure a seamless transition to the Special Care service as they develop.
- School Screening Programs- School dental screenings involve dental professionals doing examinations of children's mouths and teeth at school. They provide parents with detailed reports on their child's oral health status and any necessary treatments. The primary objective is to identify oral health issues at an early stage and prompt parents to seek appropriate dental care for their children.
- Oral Health Promotion- We have a team of trained dental care professionals with additional qualifications in oral health promotion to promote the maintenance and improvement of oral health across the county.
- The team work with North Northamptonshire County Council and West Northamptonshire County council, Public Health England, community centres, care homes, nursery schools and other healthcare professionals to deliver a range of initiatives and training to support this.
- All oral health initiatives are targeted to areas within our county where a high dental need exists ensuring that those that need it can access support.
- The team provides oral health education, advice, information and staff training to those who are at a higher risk of developing dental disease and decay with a particular focus on children, vulnerable adults and older people.

Dental Domiciliary Care
Dental Domiciliary Care
Domiciliary dental care (also known as home dental care) may be provided for patients who are unable to access one of our community clinics. We visit you in your own home / care setting to provide check-ups or treatment. This is a referral only service which allows patients who are house bound to access dental care in their own care settings or home.
Please note patients must meet domiciliary eligibility criteria, for example, if they are unable to attend a clinic without support. This will be assessed prior to an appointment being offered.
Although this is a service that is not typically offered to children- each request for a home visit will be assessed independently against the service criteria.
