We’ve refreshed our Trust strategy: Find out how NHFT is going to ‘DIGBQ’ for 2022-2025
It is Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s vision to be an outstanding provider of compassionate care. However, we know that in order to achieve that vision, we need a clear and robust strategy to focus us on what we need to achieve.
For a number of years, our strategy has been delivered under five key themes. These key themes help us to decide and plan the work we do across the Trust and activity we will support. We call our strategy DIGBQ and our themes are:
- Develop in partnership
- Innovate
- Grow our workforce capacity
- Build a sustainable organisation
- Quality and safety at the foundation of everything we do
We like to think of DIGBQ as the different rooms or levels in a house, coming together to help us reach our vision which is the roof.
The NHS is facing some of the biggest challenges in its 74 year history and these are shaping how we continue to build a resilient and sustainable organisation. Because of this, in 2021 we began work to renew our DIGBQ strategy, taking the opportunity to reflect on and learn from our recent experiences. As we have done previously, we have engaged with NHFT colleagues, members, Governors and stakeholders to develop a refreshed DIGBQ framework for 2022-2025. We are confident that this updated strategy will enable NHFT as a Trust to achieve what we need to in order to reach our vision.
